Parent Bulletin

Dear Parents,

Another school year has ended. I want to thank the parents, volunteers, students and especially the staff here at Arbor Heights for an exceptional year. I want to wish everyone a safe, joyful summer and encourage students to READ, READ, READ in between the hours of games, trips and TV. I want to congratulate the classrooms that worked on our mural landscape in the lunchroom. If you haven't seen it yet, you'll be amazed when you do. Thanks to Ms. Hughes for bringing us this project.

As I am writing this bulletin we are setting up for Field Day. Thanks to Mr. Warford for putting together another outstanding activity.

Have a wonderful summer,

Barry S. Dorsey

Summer Schedule

The office will be closed June 30th through August 21st. Next years student classroom assignment postcards will be sent to parents in late August. The 2000/2001 school year is scheduled to begin on September 6th.

If a student moves during the summer, please call the Transportation office to provide the new address. If a student is planning on using a different service address and not the home address, please send in the Child Care Request Form or call the transportation office. A different service address could be a daycare, dual custody situation or a relative's home. If a student will not need transportation and they are eligible, please call and inform them so no stop will be created. The Transportation Office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays during the summer. The new phone number is (206) 252-0900.

The Last Day of School

The last day of school is this Friday, June 16th. All students will be dismissed one hour earlier than their normal dismissal time. Please look for your child's report card on Friday.
