Dear Parents,
The third and fifth grade students completed the Direct Writing Assessment
(DWA) last week. Next week they will be taking the Iowa Test of Basic
Skills (ITBS). Report cards are going home on Monday, March 13th.
Tomorrow, Friday, March 10th, there will no classes. Staff will be in
the building working on next years budget. We are optimistic that we will
not have to make any cuts this year. Although there is a possibility that
staff cold add an additional teacher to lower class size. If that is
approved, some cuts would have to be made somewhere else. In addition,
there may be some grade level changes to accommodate a large number of
first grade students.
Please take the opportunity to check our Lost and Found closet when you
are in the building. We continue to have large amounts of misplaced
clothing.
Sincerely,
Barry S. Dorsey
Principal
