FALL
CLEAN UP UPDATE:
Please
join us this Sunday, Nov. 14th from 8:00 – 4:00p.m. Any time that you could spare would be
greatly appreciated.
We
have a full schedule of weeding, pruning and transplanting activity so we are
hoping for a good turnout. The
weather looks like it will be cool and dry, perfect for an hour or two in the
garden. Please come when you can
and bring the family. We will have
coffee, donuts and refreshments.
The
school district is reviewing our plans for ivy removal between the stairs.
They want to ensure slope stability during the coming rainy months.
We are working with them to address their concerns and are planning at
least a demonstration removal. They
will be providing tools, mulch and debris removal facilities.
Call
Dave Hadaway at 200-3174 or email dhadaway@corkeament.com
if you have any questions.
WATER
DISTRICT POLICY:
The
drinking water policy has been drafted and is now moving from policy committee
to executive committee to be placed on the agenda for the Nov. 17th
School Board Meeting. I have
details of what the policy will look like.
Let me know if you’d like a copy.
Now is the time that I need your help.
Plan to attend the Nov. 17th meeting to demonstrate to the
Board that an adequate supply of clean, safe aesthetically pleasing water must
be made available to your children during the school day. The meeting starts at 6p.m. at the John Stanford Center at 3rd
and Lander (South of the stadiums, east of Home Depot/Sears).
There is free parking and I can set up carpools if there is interest.
