Tomorrow, October 31st, we will be having Book Character Day
at Arbor Heights. The children have been encouraged to bring an
item, costumes, etc. to school that goes along with a character
from a book they enjoy. Nothing elaborate is needed. Our schedule
for the afternoon will be as follows:
1:30 - 1:50 Children put on costumes and visit with each
other on the playground.
1:55 - 2:15 Two parades will take place. The children
will be led through classrooms so that all can
see.
2:15 - 2:30 Room exchanges. Children form neighboring
classrooms can get together and talk about
their characters.
2:30 - 3:00 Room parties. Treats are being provided.
The morning Kindergarten will have their own parade/party.
Wiring Project Nears Completion
Phase 1 of our buildings wiring plan took a giant step
toward completion last Saturday as 35 volunteers worked from dawn
until dusk putting up raceway and pulling wires. Very soon we will
have internet access to one half of our classrooms. Thank you very
much to all who helped out last weekend.
Carpet
We have been given quite a bit of beautiful carpet which we
plan to use to replace the badly worn carpet in the library, the
upstairs hallway and the office. If you have any expertise in
laying carpet, or would be willing to help out with some of the
"muscle work" please call Debbie Kerns (937-6709) or the school
(933-5350). We hope to be ready to tackle this project soon.

Picture Retake Day
Picture retake day is scheduled for Friday, November 7th. If
you need retakes please bring the picture packet and/or money to
school on November 7th. If your child was absent on picture day,
there are order forms in the office with package price information.
