Waiver Day
Seattle Public
Schools will be closed tomorrow, October 9th, for a teacher training day.
There will be no school for students tomorrow. School will resume at the
regular time on Monday, October 12th.
Open House
We hope to see you all at Open House tonight. The schedule for this
evening will be as follows:
6:00 - 6:30 Chapter 1
/ Bilingual parent meeting in Room 10. (You will receive a special invitation
if your child is in this program.)
6:00 - 7:30 Ice Cream Social in the Lunchroom
6:00 - 8:00 PTA Bake Sale outside the Lunchroom
6:00 - 8:00 Book Fair in the Library
6:30 - 7:45 Classrooms open for visitation
Parking will be available
on the playground.
Lost and Found
While at Open House tonight, please check the Lost and Found Closet
across from the gym. We have quite a collection of hats, coats, sweaters,
etc.!!
Highly Capable Student
Programs
Our district offers two programs for students who perform at very high levels
on achievement and aptitude tests. To enter the Spectrum Program or the
Accelerated Progress Program (APP) next fall, a student must be nominated
by a parent or a teacher soon. Student nomination forms are available in
our office. The deadline for all grade levels is November 4th, 1998.
PTA Information
This week the PTSA information will be on a separate bulletin - there was
just so much to say!
