An Update From Mr. Leatherman

Dear Parents,
As you know, I have been on a health leave for the past four months. My doctors have advised me to seek a less stressful job and I have made the decision with my family to follow their advice. I will not be returning to the Seattle School District. It is difficult to leave a school with such a great staff and wonderful parent support, but I need to do what's best for my health.
Joanne Franey, my director, will be involved with the Arbor Heights school community in the selection of your new principal. I will miss you all very much. Please explain my situation to your children. They are a wonderful group of kids and I will certainly miss them too.
Thank you for all of your support over the past three years. Arbor Heights is a fine school with one of the best faculties in the city. Your children are in good hands. Take care.

Carl Leatherman
