Dear Parents,
I hope you have an opportunity to see the Winter Program tonight, it is
going to be exciting. The schedule for the program is below. Special
thanks to Ms. Bailey who has coordinated the activities. Please notice
the wonderful headpieces that Room 16 is wearing. The Target Store at
Westwood Village donated $50 to help with the purchase of these items.
Thank you Target!
There has been a lot of maintenance activity in our building the past
two weeks. The mold/mildew odor has subsided, but we are continuing to
work with the district to totally eliminate it by January 3rd. I want
to thank staff and parents for their support and contributions to our
efforts to accelerate a solution. We are also looking into other
avenues that may allow us to upgrade certain needy areas of our building
in the near future.
The Arbor Heights' staff wishes everyone a joyous, safe holiday season.
In this season of peace and love we want to extend to you and your loved
ones, a year round gift of happiness and prosperity.
In the words of Mr. Wilkie, "Have an Awesome Winter Break".
Sincerely,
Barry S. Dorsey
Principal
Winter Program
Tonight is the Winter Program. The first session (for students in Rooms
3, 4, 1, 19, 18, 14 and 16) will begin at 6:30. Students need to be in
their classroom at 6:15. The second session (for students in the
remaining classrooms) will begin at 7:30. Those students need to be in
their classrooms at 7:15. Please see the invitation that went home last
Monday, December 6th for more information. The students and staff have
worked very hard to put this program together and we hope you will be
able to attend.
A huge thank you to each and every student who made stars and birds for
our Winter Program. Your creativity and enthusiasm have truly brought
beauty and brightness to Arbor Heights this season. A special thanks to
Debbie Taylor for paper, to 007 Keegan for the inspiration, to Nonny J
for origami assistance and to Marie Mentor for help in hanging all our
stars. A BIG thanks to the patient Lynn Barnicle-Moy for spending many
hours at school teaching students (and staff) how to fold and heading
the decorating committee.
And, again, special thanks to Barbara Bailey, our talented music
teacher, for her work to make this a memorable Winter Program.
Lost and Found
While at the Winter Program tonight, please take a moment to look
through the Lost and Found closet in the front hall. As we have been
