Science Fair
The Science Fair was a tremendous success. I want to thank our staff
members, guests and especially students for your efforts. The exhibits
were outstanding!
Direct Writing Assessment
Third and fifth grade students will be taking the Direct Writing
Assessment between now and March 10th. Please encourage your child to do
their very best. Students that are well rested and take the time to have
a nutritious breakfast tend to respond much better to testing. The 3rd
and 5th graders will also be taking the ITBS during the month of March.
End of the Trimester
The second trimester ends on March 4th. There are no classes on Friday,
March 5th. The Arbor Heights staff will be using this day for training.
Report cards for all students will be sent home on Monday, March 15th.
Students on Campus After School
Please be reminded that students should leave the campus area after school
and report home before returning to use the playground facilities. We
continue to receive reports about our students hanging around after school
that are involved in inappropriate activities.
Weapons at School
The Seattle School district forbids any person from bringing weapons to
school. Any student that brings a toy weapon to school will be suspended.
Please refer to the Students Rights and Responsibilities pamphlet and/or
the Parent Handbook that came home at the beginning of the school year for
more information.
Sincerely,
Barry Dorsey
Principal
