Problems on the Playground
We have had complaints from parents regarding unsupervised children on the
playground after school hours. These parents have reported rock throwing,
foul language and intimidating behavior toward other children and adults.
Seattle School District policy is students leave the school grounds
immediately after school, unless they are in a parent approved after
school program. As always, your cooperation is appreciated.
The Science Fair Is Coming
As you know, our Science, Math, Technology Fair will be held on February
11th. Details about the fair will come home next week, but I wanted you
to be thinking of a few things now.
- We will have a Bake Sale that night with proceeds going toward our
science program.
- We are looking for take-apart items for the Science Fair. Do you
have any broken electronic or
mechanical gadgets such as VCR s, clocks, phones, radios and such?
Just drop them off in
the office or send them to school with your child.
- Topic Sheets are due back in the office tomorrow, January 29th.
Thanks to our bilingual tutors we
were able to send the Topic Sheets to our Cambodian and
Spanish speaking families in
their native language.
Helping an Arbor Heights Family
The friends of Bob and Vickie Viloudaki (daughter Jenna is in 4th grade
here) are hosting a celebration to raise funds for a van with a wheelchair
lift. Mr. Viloudaki suffered a spinal cord injury this past summer while
on a family outing. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
