A Message From Your PTA
Anyone interested in serving on the PTA Board? There are spaces
open for all types of interests, talents and time constraints. If
"promoting the welfare of our children in home, school and community" is
one of your goals, now is your time to act. Call Laura Flanigan at 431-
8654 or Betsy Forbes at 938-8607 for more information. It's fun,
productive and a great service to our Arbor Heights community.
The Science Fair Is Coming
As you know, our Science, Math, Technology Fair will be held on
February 26th. Details about the fair will come home next week, but I
wanted you to be thinking of a few things now.
1. We will have a Bake Sale that night with proceeds going toward
our science program.
2. We will be selling pop for $.50.
3. We are looking for take-apart items for the Science Fair. Do
you have any broken electronic or mechanical gadgets such as
VCR's, clocks, phones, radios and such? Just drop them off in
the office or send them to school with your child. Thanks.
No School on Friday or Monday
The Seattle Public Schools will be closed on Friday, February 14th
and Monday, February 17th. Schools will reopen at the regular time on
Tuesday, February 18th.
A.D.D. Support Group
A family support group for children with attention deficit
disorders meets in Renton on the first Tuesday of each month. Call 233-
8638 for more information.

Would you like to have future Parent Bulletins sent to you by E-
mail? If so, please send us a note with your E-mail address or end your
address to Mark Ahlness at mahlness@cks.ssd.k12.wa.us. Mr. Ahlness and
our secretary, Pam Rogers, are making this possible.
Seattle Public Library Seeks Input
Help determine the future of the Seattle Public Library system by
attending a public meeting to give input on proposed plans for a new
Central and improved Neighborhood libraries. The meeting will be held
at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th at the Southwest Library (9010 - 35th
Avenue S.W.).
