The Carnival is Coming

I'm sure you've seen the notices which our PTA has sent home about the Carnival, but I just wanted to remind you once more that the big event is this Friday. Carnival hours will be from 5:30 - 8:30 p. m. Parking will be available on our playfield, but be sure if you park there that you don't block anyone's exit. I hope to see you all Friday!

Jump Rope for Heart

Reminder: All Jump Rope for Heart sponsor pledges are due March 1, 1996. Please be sure the money comes in with the Donor Form. Thank you. (Richard Warford, P.E. Specialist)

Reading Incentive Program

Our school has started a new Reading Incentive Program here at Arbor Heights. It consists of the following:
- Each month there will be a special emphasis on Reading. In March there will be an emphasis on reading for information. Books of this nature will be shared and children will be encouraged to use books for the Science Fair project. A list of monthly themes will be published soon.
- Our current Read for Books program will be enhanced as we look for more $$ to support it.
- Children will be encouraged to participate in the school district's reading incentive program. Forms are available in the public libraries and can be turned in to our librarian, Ms. Napolitan.

Superintendent on T.V.

Community members can get answers to their questions of Seattle Schools Superintendent, John Stanford, without leaving the comfort of their home between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. March 7th by either tuning in to cable television channel 28 or turning to KNHC FM 89.5 on the radio. Mr. Stanford will answer questions from callers and members of a live studio audience during the show which will be broadcast live from the school district's Instructional Television Center. Viewers/listeners are encouraged to call 298-7720 during the broadcast with a question or a brief comment.
