PANCAKE BREAKFAST
I hope you are planning to join us at the PTA's annual Pancake Breakfast this Saturday. In addition to a wonderful meal ($2.50 for adults, $l.50 for children or $6.50 for a family) you will also hear more about a new garden that we will be putting in near our kindergarten. The breakfast will be held in our cafeteria between the hours of 8:30 - l0:30. I hope to see you there.
READING CHALLENGE
I have made a deal with the boys and girls at Arbor Heights School. If they are able to read 2,000 books between April lst and April 30th, I will sit on the roof of the school all day on May 3rd (rain or shine) and read nonstop all day. (I get to have a l5 minute lunch break and one 3 minute bathroom break.) Your child will be bringing home a form for you to sign each time he/she completes a book. A graph showing the number of books read will be kept in the hall outside of the library. The students are to read books which are appropriate for their reading level. Kindergarten children may want to read their books together with you. The students are excited about this challenge right now, so I hope you will encourage your child to read as much as possible. Spring vacation is an excellent time for pleasure reading.

THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who helped pass the school levy last Tuesday. Your help with phoning, yard signs, monetary donations, etc. was very much appreciated. A levy failure would have really hurt our program here at Arbor Heights.
Sincerely,
Carl Leatherman
Principal
