On Thursday, June 5th, the staff at Arbor Heights will be saying
thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped to make this such a
great year for our kids. We are inviting all of the volunteers to join us
in the library at ll:30 a.m. for a luncheon. I hope you can join us if
you're free.
No Evening Computer Class Tonight
We will not be able to open our computer lab to the community this
evening because of some schedule conflicts. It will be open again next
week.
Direct Writing Assessment
This year our 3rd and 5th graders participated in a state-wide
assessment of their writing. The results of this activity will be sent
home with your child in his/her 4th quarter report card.
Summer Institute
Principals have been asked to invite members of their staff and
parent organizations to join them in a two day conference. The dates are
August l8th and l9th (Monday and Tuesday) and the times are 8:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. The conference will be held at Seattle University and the
activities will include an opportunity to hear Superintendent Stanford
speak about Seattle Public Schools. If you would like to attend, please
call me at 933-5350 by Monday, June 2nd.
