Mr. Leatherman Hits the Roof!

Our Principal, Mr. Leatherman, challenged the 410 students at Arbor Heights Elementary School to read 2,000 books in the month of April. He said he would spend an entire day on the roof of our school reading. Well, the students at Arbor Heights read nearly 3,000 books! Here's what happened on May 3, 1996....

Mr. Leatherman hauls up some reading material.
"There will be no rain today!"
"What a great book!"
The press come from miles around to get a scoop.
"Being a Principal is great!"
Even on the roof, there is no solitude.
