Here is some BAD news from a security standpoint
--10 November 2000 Navidad Worm Is Spreading
Navidad spreads through in-boxes in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook
Express, and arrives as an attachment to a reply e-mail. If the
attachment is opened, an eye icon appears on the desktop in the system
tray. Clicking on the eye yields a button accompanied by a message in
Spanish, which, if clicked, installs a program that prevents the
computer from launching any executable applications.

New McAfee Virus Definitions Could Freeze System
A recent McAfee VirusScan definition update is incompatible with an
older version of the scan engine and causes systems to freeze. Windows
NT administrators can stop the service remotely; desktop users have to
start Windows in Safe Mode and disable VirusScan. A security engineer
for the company recommends updating scan engines, adding that some newer
viruses require updated engines.
VBS/Columbia Hits Australia
A new, more destructive variant of the ILOVEYUOU virus worm has emerged
in Australia. VBS/Columbia prevents infected computers from gaining
access to the network server, and it deletes image files and web
development files. It is especially difficult to eradicate because it
can travel through e-mail or infected files on a network file server.
This may make it spread more effectively. The number of infected files
may make it more difficult to eradicate.
