Greetings, The Learning Space is proud to announce our first 'Hands-On' Technology Integration workshop. The workshop will take place on Saturday, January 20 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the University of Washington in Seattle. Participants will choose two 3-hour break-out sessions from the following topics:

    · Creating Meaningful Research Investigations · Launchers - Easy to create, classroom web pages that enhance learning · eFolios - Portfolios for Your Classroom · Integrating Technology with Your Classroom Curriculum · Connections - Collaborating with people outside the classroom · WebBytes - Creating small bites of learning using the Internet

If you have access to the Internet within your school then you have all the tools you need to implement workshop strategies back in your classroom.

The workshops were developed by teachers throughout Washington state. All instructors are current classroom teachers or media specialists and are ready to help you integrate technology in your classroom.

More information and registration forms can be found at: http://www.learningspace.org/workshops or email your questions to Andrea Justham (ajustham@learningspace.org).

Register before January 5, and receive the early bird discount rate of $155. After January 5, the cost is $175. Your registration includes: * Keynote Speaker, Carolyn Hinshaw * Two 3-hour, hands-on learning workshop sessions * Workshop materials and handouts * Continental Breakfast * Lunch * Afternoon beverage and snack break * Participation Certificate * Clock Hours available at an additional charge. * 1:10 instructor to participant ratio
