    --- TIC-TECH message:
Doing more testing, I have discovered that Outlook Express may well not
work with the district Exchange (seattleschools.org) accounts. I was
wondering when I setup Outlook Express how it could work. Has anyone
managed to get Outlook Express to work for sending e-mails?

Judy McNamee told us earlier that CKS was being configured so that it could
NOT forward e-mails. In fact, to be able to send e-mails out of CKS, you
have to check your e-mail first to get validated as a proper CKS e-mail
    user.

The FAQ inside the district Exchange account tells how to configure Outlook
Express to work with the new system, but it must have been written before
the security was tightened up to prevent CKS from forwarding e-mails.
(This security reconfiguration was quite necessary due to hackers getting
into CKS and sending out SPAM to the world addressed from SSD. Our ISP
could end our service for this SPAMMING.) So, the instruction to use CKS
for the outgoing mail Server no longer works. Since the incoming mail
server is not CKS, there is no way that we can get validated to send mail
    out through it.
