    --- TIC-TECH message:
At the tech forum yesterday, I confirmed that those of you using POP3 and
IMAP clients could not currently send mail from your schools. We've just
located and put in the necessary fix to allow POP3 and IMAP to send mail, as
long as you are sending from a district location.

For the incoming and outgoing mail servers, use "mail.seattleschools.org"
(no quotes). Be sure that your client is configured to leave the messages on
the server. Remember that support for these clients is limited to
configuration parameters. We'll post a document somewhere as soon as we
create one. Please don't call the Help Line for this information or for
assistance in setting up the clients.

We are still working on how to provide POP3 and IMAP clients the ability to
send mail from outside the district. That will take a while. We'll let you
    know when it's available.

    Thanks,
    Judy
