    --- TIC-TECH message:

Although I'm not officially a part of Seattle Schools anymore, I'm still in
the Education mode, as a part of the Northwest College Information Services
    team, so here goes:

I was driving on the freeway at the time, just getting ready to pass a big
truck. I remember thinking that the wind turbulence from the truck was
really bad, then I wondered if the front end of the car was going goofy, but
it settled down and was fine. A mile later as I was on the exit back to the
school, I was listening to the radio, and they had just broadcast one of
those routine emergency earthquake spots. As soon as that was over, I heard
the radio announcer say that Seattle had just suffered a major earthquake!
I thought, yeah, right! When I got back to the college, everyone was
standing outside the Administration Building-------wellll.......maybe it
    really was an earthquake!

The worst damage at the college was the 3rd floor of the library, where
they had a major book pickup to take care of! Books everywhere!

Last, but not least, the students were in the middle of a chapel service,
and the campus pastor was preaching on the topic of God's
Judgment...........all about cheating on tests, stealing papers from the
internet, and other unchristian things college students seem to
do...........then the chapel started to rock and roll, needless to say, I
had a good laugh over that one!
