    --- TIC-TECH message:
    Hi All,
Just a note of clarification about replying to tic-tech messages. If
you are replying to a list message and are using OWA (Outlook Web
Access), you need to select "reply to all" to get your message to
tic-tech. If you use Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape email, or PINE,
the default for reply to a list message is to send it back to the list.
I suspect the majority of other email programs are the same (how about
Eudora, Wes?). In OWA, a simple reply to a tic-tech message will go
ONLY to the person who sent the message to tic-tech.

As moderator of this list, I have set tic-tech properties so replies go
to the whole list. OWA does not follow this rule.

I have a feeling several folks may have replied (using OWA) to list
messages and may have wondered why their message never made it to
tic-tech. I have repeatedly reminded list members that a simple reply
will go to the list. So if this has happened to you - and you did not
get a bounced message back - this is probably the reason. Your message
probably went to the person who posted the message - only. I would have
let list members know this sooner, but I was only just granted a
seattleschools.org account two weeks ago (I have been asking for one for
a long time), and I have finally been able to try out the program. I am
sorry I was not able to make this clear sooner.

The long and short of this message is this: before sending a reply to
ANY message, please check the "To" field and be sure your message is
going where you intended it. Thanks - moderator Mark
