The following message is from the Reading Teacher discussion list
(subscription info at the end). I found the link to author pronunciations
to be just, well, cool. I guess there isn't anything that can't be found on
the Internet anymore. Looking a little further, the page is part of a web
site designed by the librarians in a small California district. I know
there are quite a few librarians on tictech, and I figured this might be
interesting. Great way to share info. I just joined the list, and it seems
like a good resource for L.A. or reading specialists. - Mark

Steig is pronounced STYG (Stei rhymes with "eye" and then a hard g, as in
"girl". I don't know about LeSieg.
