Hi, everyone. Once again it is time for Seattle teachers to consider
applying for TLP - Teacher Leadership Project grants. Several of you
have teachers in your building who are previous grant recipients, or
have received the grant yourselves. You know the grant brings $9,000
for classroom hardware equipment, a teacher laptop computer, 11 days of
professional development, and software including access to SchoolKit for
the participant's entire school. In short, this grant is well worth
trying for.
It does not matter that someone else in a building already received the
grant. So, please encourage your teachers to apply. If you can
possibly help them with the application, that would be great.
I will hold a 1 hour Q&A with tips on how to do a great TLP application
on Tuesday January 29th from 4:00 to 5:00 at the TOPS library.
Applications for the TLP have to be completed and turned in to Jay Iman
in the Grants Office by 4:30 Friday the 15th of February.
Your principals were sent the TLP Grant information. You can also find
it and additional information at

Please note that we are asking that you fill out a School
Obligations form that can also be found at this website.
Good luck,
Eric Caldwell
