    Hello,

I have been updating my mac the past few days and found several helpful free
updates at Mactopia on the MS website. I was able to update my office 98
Suite for Mac as well as download and install the newest version of explorer
5.1. This also included the Y2K update as well.

It goes almost without saying that it pays in the long run to keep your bug
fixes up to date especially if they are free ones. Most of them are and this
goes double for virus software. It is a good idea to check sites for patches
and the appropriate virus updates on a regular basis in this day and age.

Software upgrades to newer versions are also usually fairly inexpensive and
most home users should take advantage of these upgrades as they become
available. With the tight frames in time that most teachers work under, it
makes a lot of sense to keep your technology needs in computing and
peripherals as close to the cutting edge as permissible.

    Cheers!
    Currie
