    Anthony & Tic Techers,

I am starting to have a similar viewpoint of iMovie being a killer app. My
model has been a video called "Poetry in America" that shows the power of
iMovie being used as an art form and as a strong communication tool.

One suggestion/idea - a way to avoid the cost and delicacy of a digital
    camera . . .

My students use cheaper analog cameras (lots of those kicking around) and
their own individual video tapes (endless ones at home). This way, each
student can grab their tape, do their camera work, and pass the camera to
    the next student.

I use my new iMac and converter box to digitize the few minutes of work and
drop the movies on the network. From there, kids can copy them to any one of
our iMacs and go to work.
