    We have experimented with this, and it appears to work quite well for us
    too. We have used both the Dazzle device and a Sony one as well. Both
    sell for about $300 in the stores and both convert digital to analog and
    analog to digital with a firewire output that dumps right into the Mac
    running iMovie.
