-tictech message:
Hi all,
It's an exciting time in many schools right now.... it's the time of year
for guys to frantically flip through pages of cookbooks, scroll through
online recipe databases, dig in the drawer for that tattered recipe from
Mom, proudly gather 'round their ovens, and finally - exchange their
delicious baked creations with other guys. It's the Men's Cookie Exchange!
At Arbor Heights Elementary, we will be gathering for our sixth annual
Exchange on Thursday, Dec. 19th. We invite men throughout the education
community to join in with us. Please help us spread the word, and drop us a
line if you participate!
There is, of course, a website:
http://www.halcyon.com/arborhts/pics/cookies/ There you'll find complete
directions and lots of helpful tips. This year we hope to get our acts
together enough to actually post our recipes - stay tuned!
Yes indeed, this is for real. Check the article in the Seattle Times last
year:

There are precious few times these days to throw political correctness to
the wind. So, please accept this invitation with the spirit in which it is
given: with wishes for lots of fun and joy this holiday season! - Mark
