(from Tony Hand <tghand@seattleschools.org> - ma)

    Hello Folks,

Here's an oddity. It appears that staff who still have Command Antivirus
running on their computers may receive a message when using webmail that
their computer has a mass-mailing worm (virus). This happens when they
attempt to use the webmail application.

We have had this happen three times, so it does seem that there is a real
relationship at work between the two apps.

The culprit appears to be a java script routine used by the new Webmail
    interface.

Of course, one doesn't want to be using the Command Antivirus now since we
cannot update the definitions. We uninstalled it, put Norton's on and
scanned to see that no worm was detected.

    There's humor here.
