-tictech message:
Hi all,
This message is to announce the new Aquifer Virtual Field Trip. It was
developed with the Spokane Aquifer Joint Board (SAJB) and I think it ranks
as one of the finest trips we've ever put up. It was designed with middle
school grades in mind but there is a lot of great information in there for a
wide span of age groups. (For those of you unfamiliar with our trips, we
offer more than 30 virtual field trips for K-12 and they are free to you.)
Go to http://www.tramline.com/trips.htm and click on Aquifer. (Unlike our
other field trips, this one will open in a 2nd window since it is hosted
from the SAJB web site.)
Topics covered include:
------------------------
-Water for survival
-The Hydrologic Cycle
-Ground water aquifers
-Aquifers in the U.S.
-The Spokane Valley - Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer
-Ice Age floods & geologic results
-How water is used and what happens to it
-Sources of contamination
-The effects of urbanization
-Water facts and conservation tips
I highly recommend it!
