    I have used Assess2Learn on 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students as a learning
tool with students working with partners. I would like to have a little time
spent at the next tech meeting discussing this tool with those who have had
the training. Perhaps searching for reasons why many have not used the
program. I think the need to use student id # not used elsewhere by the
    students is a problem.

The Assess2Learn initiative is a step in the direction being discussed here.

Yes, good point, Graham. I would encourage anyone interested in getting more
involved in this (shouldn't we all be?) to get on the Digital Divide
    discussion list: http://www.benton.org/digitaldivide-faq.html

However,.... I refuse to be drug down by this argument in this particular
situation. My students should be penalized by archaic test rules because
others have less? No, no, no. It is up to those designing these assessments
to make this right, find an equitable, non-punitive solution to the digital
    divide testing inequalities.

What I find especially discouraging is the apparent lack of "push" toward
tech integration into the testing process from our tech leaders. Maybe it's
happening, but I sure don't see any changes. - Mark
