Dennis,
One of the reasons you're experiencing difficulty is that Word adds
additional coding when it converts files to html. I've
never taken the time to troubleshoot this issue except to find ways around
using Word as a web authoring tool. Here
are my suggestions:
1. Link to the pages as Word docs instead of web pages (html). This will
be problematic for users who don't have
Microsoft Word, but it does work. You can see an example using the
Newsletter we show during the CWS rollout
training:
https://inside.seattleschools.org/area/teachertools/classroomnews.doc
(this link is only available to Seattle employees)
2. Copy/Paste information to Dreamweaver....you will have to re-do the
links and fix some formatting, so this is not an
ideal option
3. If you have access to Adobe Acrobat (full program, not reader) or OS X,
save the Word docs as pdf files.
Good luck!
Juli
