try this: Start - Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt
then type something like this: net use w: \\hawthorne1\wildwest
the w: is the letter mapped to the drive (it will show up in My Computer and
Open/Save dialog boxes) the "hawthorne1" is the actual name of the server
and "wildwest" is a shared volume on the server "hawthorne1". If you can do
this, then the next step is to put that command in a text file (NotePad) and
save it with the name login.bat (or some such)to your c: drive. This turns
it into a batch file which is executable when you double click it. The final
step is to create a shortcut pointing to the batch file. Then you can map
that drive(s) anytime you want. I put the shortcut into my Startup folder,
so the mappings occur whenever I log in to my machine.

Hello Tic-Techers,
I would be interested to hear more about how to access shares as Mark and
Devin refer to in point number three. I've been completely unable to do
this as long as one is logged onto the seattleschools.domain. What's the
process??
