I don't feel this way at all. I found the CWS class to be very helpful. I
installed a network printer last week and I did that via the info in that
class. I am also able to install software and pretty much anything I want
with the knowledge (and access) I gained at that class.

Considering the fact that you will see your System Analyst less and less
next year, I suggest you take the class. AND if the class needs to be
modified, let's address that issue. I don't see the point of complaining
unless you're willing to act on it too

The server issue is a tough one. Our lab is Mac and we have a "file server"
that is OSX and so all our CWS machines can see it. What about installing a
PC box that is shared out and acts as storage? It doesn't seem like it
    should be that difficult.

None of the stuff taught at the CWS classes touch on this. In fact, almost
nothing in the classes touch on doing anything practical except naming
computers for the network. And, I mean that literally. But, the classes
are good as a starting point. I doubt very much that the fouth proposed
advanced class will ever happen. They have more to do downtown than they
can keep up with now, much less design an advanced class.
