Finding the right sized cardboard box is always an option... I use only two
or three for each class and have students use them when I "see the need."
Just cut the box to fit over the keyboard.

I used a hot glue gun to put a wooden clothes pin on the monitor. It's
cheap and works great.
What I need is a cheap way to cover keys during keyboarding. Any ideas?

I have a Curtis brand copy clip attached to every monitor in my lab.
They come with a strip of velco that that double-stick tape. I've also
attached them to the monitors in our 5th grade classrooms. They've been
used for six years and I haven't had one break yet :) You can usually
find them at office supply stores, but they don't have many on the shelf
for sale. I had to order mine in advance.
We use them for everything. The kids put their hand-written drafts up
so they can type up projects. Kindergarten uses them as well to type
sentences that we've come up with to compliment what they're doing in
class. They can copy the sentence and then add clip-art that goes with
the sentence. The copy clips come in very handy! Hope this helps,

It has been suggested that I buy a device that the students can
stand/clip their work onto when they keyboard.
Anyone have a secret invention they want to share? How long can I
expect these items to last? Sounds like a "consumable" to me.
Thoughts?
