--- TIC-TECH message:
At this time the district is in the process of developing a web publishing
policy, and until them we have no specific parameters. The best practice is
to never use anything more than first names, show only group photos with no
name identification in the captions, and obtain written permission from
parents prior to posting any student work or photos. The web council is
currently working on a policy and hope that it will be implemented within
this school year.

--- TIC-TECH message:
Hi there. Another lurker coming forward here. I have a website ready to go
to post student artwork and writing from my class, but I would like to know
what kind of a permission slip I need to create to have the students put
their work on the site. Does anyone else have a site with student work? What
is the protocol? Is there a district form? I am assuming if we credit a
student's work we use only first names (I am not planning on any last
names,
anyway). but what about photos of kids doing projects and stuff. I want this
to be a site where parents can see their kids' class in action in a sense,
but I worry about privacy issues.
Any suggestions?
