I would sure encourage everyone with a need to respond to this statement to
John. I've heard a lot of promises in the last year about how tech support
staff would be housed in the schools and/or would respond by the next day
to calls downtown. I sure haven't heard of that actually happenning. The
only job that I called in to IS was back in September. The analyst said
"the first of the month". I didn't, but should have asked "which month?".
I went ahead and did the job myself after October rolled by and the first
of November came and went. The job took less than an hour, but it was a
job that I felt IS should do since it involved the old VAX equipment and
the ParentLink system.
And, I heard a couple of people at the first Tech Forum meeting complaining
about problems that went on all of last year and were never resolved last
year or this year.
