N2H2 ANNOUNCES FOURTH QUARTER 2000 FINANCIAL RESULTS: Revenues
Increase 67% Over FY 1999; Company Transitions to Fee-based
Education Model; New Enterprise Filtering Technology Set to Launch
With Release of Microsoft ISA Server 2000
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 2000--N2H2(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:NTWO -
news), a leading Internet infrastructure company specializing in
filtering, Internet management and content delivery services, announced
today financial results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2000,
ended September 30, 2000.
Nickerson added, ``Beginning today, we are making a strategic move away
from the Bess Partner Program, our advertising model in education. When
we initiated this model in September 1999, our goal was to increase
market share by making filtering more accessible to schools through a
choice of either fee-based filtering or an advertiser-supported offering.
Now, with Internet advertising having softened industry-wide --
contributing only 13% of our revenues in the fourth quarter -- we are
making the transition toward offering our services on a fee basis only.''
N2H2 will continue to provide filtering under the ad-based model through
the end of the school year. The company believes this move will create
consistent long-term revenue and add value for our shareholders in fiscal
2001, while still providing the best possible products for our customers.
In addition, N2H2 has systems in place to take immediate advantage of any
mandatory filtering legislation for schools and libraries on both the
Federal and local levels.
