    --- TIC-TECH message:
I hope you all take a hard look at participating in this valuable program.
The ESD is sponsoring a workshop later this month to explain the program in
detail. Once we have that information, we will be scheduling some workshops
to help teachers develop their applications. More on that shortly.

Hi all, It is that time of year again. The Teacher Leadership Project (Gates Foundation - classroom grant) will be available for Washington state teachers.

The 2001-2002 application for the Teacher Leadership Project will be posted at http://tlp.esd189.org/yr2/index.html on January 16, 2001. Applications will also be mailed to public and private school principals and district superintendents in Washington state on January 16, 2001. Building and district administrators are responsible for distributing the application packets to prospective applicants and for developing a process for the selection of applicants within buildings for this competitive grant. One application per building per grade band will be accepted for consideration. The grade bands are K-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12. One thousand teachers in the state will be selected to participate in the 2001-2002 project.

    Good Luck!
