Which reminds me of something I asked about here a few months ago: The
Direct Writing Assessment (DWA). I heard word processors were out.
However, I plan on having some of my third graders use a word processor
for the assessment. They use it every day, write more expressively,
more creatively, are more organized, etc.
Are we still adhering to the ancient "paper/pencil only" rule? Are we
going back to chalk and slates next year? Is this the 21st century?
Someone said they'd be checking with OSPI or something, and I've not
heard. Any advice or information appreciated. - Mark
