    --- TIC-TECH message:

Another reminder that applications for the Gates Teacher Leadership Program
have hit the street. TLP is a grant project that awards teachers with $9000
to purchase computer equipment for their classroom, provides a substantial
amount of software, and 11 days of intensive training on the integration of
    technology into the curriculum.

A few notes for teachers/ schools interested in applying:

    1. Only one applicant per grade band (K-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12) per school
    can be submitted

    2. This grant is extremely competitive, thus strong applications are
    essential.

    3. In order to get the Superintendent's signature, applications are due
at A & S to the Office of Grant Services, Jay Iman no later than 5 pm
    Thursday, February 15.

    4. Instructional Technology will host one more grant writing workshop
on Monday, February 5 from 4:00 to 5:30. This will be held in the library
    at TOPS (2500 Franklin Ave. E. 252-3510).

    5. Be aware that the grand requires a financial commitment on the part
of the building for 3 days of subs and travel reimbursement for
participants, as well as any tech needs that go above the $9000

There is a more information about the grant at the TLP website
