    --- TIC-TECH message:
    Hello all...
There is an interesting "Web Trip" on Women's History at Lightspan.
A student signs on and answers specific questions about famous women
by going to designated Web sites. At the end of this trip, the student
writes a letter to a famous women of his or her choice thanking her
for what she did in history and telling how this has made life today
different. The letter can be printed out and turned in to you.

This is not a Web Quest, but more like a scavenger hunt which helps
students learn to navigate the Web and find specific information.

The student does reading along the way and the sites picked are
excellent sites to add to your collection on Women in History.
    The URL is http://www.lightspan.com
This gets you to the main page. Scroll down to Web Trip Maker and
    click on this.

Actually, if you have never visited the Lightspan site you might find
it worth your time to explore. There are lots of good projects to join
and other ideas related to using technology in education.
