I'm recruiting teachers, including my fellow technology adept Tic-Tech'ers
to apply for a teacher exchange next year.
If interested, read ahead. If not, delete this e-mail now.
Looking for adventure?
Want to teach overseas in Norway for 5 weeks next spring?
Willing to have a visiting Norwegian teacher in your room next fall?
Act quick as the deadline for next years Seattle-Bergen Teacher Exchange is
April 30'th.
The application is not online but here is some info:

Applications were sent to all principals in early April

You need (as seen on the application) . . .
A. An application for Bergen Teacher Exchange Program. Complete all
details. Please do not write "See Resume."
B. A letter from your principal or supervisor, agreeing to release you,
for the exchange assignment. and to accept the Bergen teacher in exchange.
C. Three (3) letters of reference. (The selection committee may solicit
additional references.)
D. A typed response to the following elements. Be specific; give examples
of experiences you have had which relate to the element being answered. Do
not attach any additional forms, samples, etc.
1) Why are you interested in this exchange?
2) Describe and give examples of your ability to relate effectively with
students, parents, staff and public in a new and unfamiliar setting.
3) What do you hope to accomplish if selected for this position?
4) What strengths do you bring to the position?
The required application materials items A-D must be submitted to Employment
Services, Administration and Service Center, Room 140, 815 - 4'th Avenue N.,
Seattle, WA 98109 (298-7377) no later than 4:30 on the closing date.
