--- TIC-TECH message:
Lesley,
I was not at this meeting. Why would I want to do this? What do you mean
by an internal address?

Subject: Tic-Tech: Updated Instructions to Configure Network Browsers
for Outlook Email
--- TIC-TECH message:
As discussed last night at the Technology Forum, here are the instructions
on how to configure your network browser to bypass the Bess proxy for
internal addresses.
Under the section titled "Proxy Settings" configure your browser with the
following information:
HTTP: bess-proxy.seattleschools.org Port: 8080
Secure: bess-proxy.seattleschools.org Port: 8080
Under the section titled "Exceptions" configure your browser with the
following information:
Do not use the proxy server for addresses beginning with:
Internet Explorer: (use semicolons as separators)
10.*; *.seattleschools.org; *.ssd.k12.wa.us
Netscape: (use commas as separators)
10., .ssd.k12.wa.us, .seattleschools.org
These instructions apply to bypassing Bess for internal addresses only.
Error messages will occur if you attempt to configure exceptions for
external addresses.
