--- TIC-TECH message:
Thanks for the quick feedback on my question about the new student
internet access form. Here's what we (well, actually one other person
and I) decided to do at our school.... nothing. We did not send out the
new very confusing packet, and are sticking with the old one - the one
page "sign for permission" form (from the district). We have all our
old kids' forms on file and are having new-to-the-school kids get parent
permission on this old form. We may be in trouble for not using the new
one, but at least we clearly know whose parents have said ok to internet
use, and we are not looking at someone putting in many hours to undo a
mess. I am aware of at least two schools who sent out letters trying to
explain the packet to confused parents. - Mark
