Hello,
Yes, the new forms are very confusing and we are running into the same
problems at Muir Elementary. I thought about calling parents (I have stacks
of forms filled out but nothing checked, or filled out and with a student
signed sheet, or even filled out, checked "no internet" and still with a
student signed sheet) but decided it was too much work. So I wrote a new
letter explaining the confusion and with a simple, explicit, yes/no
checkoff, and sent it out to all the families from whom I had received
confusing forms. I did that on Friday and as of today (Tuesday) I've gotten
about half returned, all saying yes, they do want their child to use the
internet.
If anyone wants a copy of the second letter, I'll be happy to forward it to
you.
