Frowned upon or not. There has never been a consistant amount of up time to
classify it as reliable.

It is primarily a convenience for the school district although in earlier
years when some schools ran their own email, is was for the staff. It
reduces paper flow so it may even save a bit of money.

YES THE DISTRICT USES ACL'S IN SEVERAL WAYS.

THE ACL is blocked by port number...it used to be 119 which was the port
most often used by free email.
