    Find out if they have an upgrade price that is less than full purchase cost.
    Then go hat in hand to your PTA or whatever and see if they will help. I
    really doubt that you can get any exchange at this late date in particular
    if there has been a version upgrade in the interim.

    Software purchases need to be carefully planned with future needs in mind.
