It would be disheartening to hear that the Ed Tech meetings are exclusive.
I was afraid that our information was going to come to a stop last year when
Charlie said he couldn't afford to provide staff for forum minutes. And
then there were no forums. I can't express how important those meetings
were to our understanding of the bigger picture - which is what we all need
to understand in order to take care of the technology. Then I recently
noticed that the inside.seattleschools site will become an intranet. So
that leaves only tic-tech for someone like myself. With the lack of budget
for technical talent, I don't think it's wise to cut out the volunteers and
free-hours folks who are keeping things running. Parents, uncompensated
staff, u-wired, etc. We need to share knowledge & best practices. We need
to support one another so we can do this for the kids. Thank you to Mark

I understand your concern, as the Tech Forums were a very good source of
information about my school's tech plan, etc. when I was a UWired Admin.
However, I have been told that the Ed. Tech Meetings will be replacing the
Tech Forums. For more info. about the meetings, you can contact David Engle

Are these meetings superseding the Technology Forums? I am the Network
Administrator (Uwired) at Highland Park Elementary. Before, I was attending
the Forums, however I have seen nothing in the way of a schedule for these
meetings. The Forum web site is essentially blank. I am not eligible for
the ET position because I am not certified, but is the prohibitive of my
attending these meetings?
