    I just created a quick web assignment and saw a bunch of garbage on the
    screen, like you described. This was the first time I had used text
    from a Word document.

    Surprisingly, or not, when I use Netscape, the stuff is not there.

    Thanks because I would never have known where the problem came from.
     When I looked at the HTML, there was stuff in there from Word that I
    have never seen.
    Sorry, I don't know how to strip it. Dreamweaver has a stripping
    process (mentioned earlier this year on TicTech.) I am hoping that
    someone else knows some better ways to do this.

    Next I will try saving as an HTML file before copying it into a web
    page. Will that work? Anyone know?
