--- TIC-TECH message:
Sean,
It sounds like the Mac isn't pointed at the district's DNS server. In the
DNS box, the DNS servers should be listed as 10.7.1.100 and 10.50.10.12,
listed in that order.
Thanks,
Judy

Subject: Tic-Tech: LC 475 internet access
--- TIC-TECH message:
Colleagues,
One of our 5th grade teachers is trying to access the internet using a
Macintosh LC 475. (We recently got WAN access).
He is unsuccessful. The message he receives is:
Netscape is unable to locate the server
bess-proxy.seattleschools.org: 8080 the server does not have a DNS entry.
The Netscape version is: Netscape Navigator Gold Version 3.01 Gold
The LC 475 has 36K of memory. The system sw version is 7.5.3, revision 2.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is anyone out there, or do you know of
anyone who is successfuly using a LC 475 to access the interent over the
WAN?
Thank you.
-Sean
