    --- TIC-TECH message:
    Hi everyone,

Thanks to all who were at the last Tech meeting and gave my students such a
    warm welcome.

I was wondering how other schools are handling issues with students
publishing on the Internet and doing electronic portfolios.
Because of the work with the Infotech Academy at Cleveland next year, I
would like to be prepared as a teacher to address some of these issues. I
looked at the Internet Policy our students sign for the district, but it
more for the use of the Internet than doing anything with it. I am sure
others are wondering some of these things too.

    My questions are:

    1. Does the district have a special permission form that has been approved
by the legal department for students to publish their electronic portfolio's
    online?
    2. Does the district have a special permission form that has been approved
for students to publish work on line that has been approved by the legal
    department?
    3. Is anyone willing to share any type of permission sheet or form made for
    these purposes.

Does anyone else have these concerns or any others that are related?
I would appreciate any light on these areas.

    Thank you,

    Peggy J. Soong-Yaplee
